"Say No To Depression, Bye-Bye To Confusion, You Don't Have To Breakdown. I want to help you get around and over your personal challenges. No matter what you are facing right now; relationship, academic, job/career, finances, or family: there is a way around it, over it, and above it, with problem-solving skills!"
"Self-worth. Self-value. Self-image":
"Every young adult is a potential leader heading to a pinnacle and the front seat of life. It takes a training-up to get you up. With the right identity construction and problem-solving skillset, you can master your own frustrations and develop an enduring self-control. Once up there, your new capacity permits no problem to depress you. You are up there because you learned some powerful, life-changing truth with which to function well in our shared humanity and society. These nuggets of truth are found across all nations and in diverse cross-cultural contexts. We categorize them as 'Proverbs, Parables, Preventive and Renewal Education,' or in short, 'Proverbs, Parables and Positives.' Successful people have long used them to master their frustrations.
You can use the power of truth to self-control the various 'selves' constantly stirring up within you and attempting to impede your progress in life. Managing problems and leading one's life (and that of family, friends, organization, community, and country) is what LEADERS do. You need the right skill set for identity formation and problem-solving. You want to be equipped before another rainy day in your life or that of family and friends. You don't want to watch helplessly and wish you knew better to help."
"I can help you because I have lived with problem-solving every day. I mean every word of that. That is for over three decades in personal and family life, and as a professional manager and leader in people-based membership, NFP organizations. In this real-life engagement, my passion is for individuals and organizations.
As a Fellow of the Australian/NZ Institute of Managers & Leaders, FIML, I do no less year to year, mentoring others to do the same (through IML's mentoring support program). I never give up on problem-solving, and now, I want to help you, firstly, resolve your problems and prepare for the next one! Secondly, as an educationist, I want to equip you to start helping other young people. Your best gift to friends is to help them resolve their problems."
"If you learn problem-solving skills and reconstruct your identity, you have just added value to your life. Then, you will find out that those good young people, and just about anyone else, would want to be friends with you. They know when something about you has changed: Self-worth. Self-value. Self-image. So, instead of wanting to be like them, they want what you've got. Friends are then yours for the choosing!".
"Dear young people. I know exactly what you are going through and what is going through your head a lot of the time. Those dot, dot, dot: sometimes weird, then meaningful, and all of a sudden, meaningless! They can keep you awake all night. Things that, at times, even make you feel like you are going crazy. I heard you when I heard your friends. I listened to you when I sat down and listened to your mates. They told me about you. They told me that without timely help, your capacity, confidence, and identity formation for problem-solving are at risk. So, wanting to help you, I spent about six years of my increasingly grey hair in a social science inquiry, researching the cultural processes of individualism and identity formation (a growing crisis for young people all over the secularized world)."
"I traveled to Higher Education Providers (hosts to a most significant proportion of young people in any country) for the purpose of a triangulated research study: face-to-face interview with both students and faculty, documentary study and observational research.
I travelled to institutions across Queensland, New South Wales and Western Australia, where 80% of my student sample were young Australians. I flew interstate to stay with them on their campuses as a trained and qualified qualitative researcher, and lifelong clergy/counselor. I looked into their institutional documents to understand what on earth they were doing there. I inquired into their motives - what and why they were studying. I spent time observing their lived experience. I attended their classes and events, and shared meals. We had great chats and fun time together.
We sat down for face-to-face interviews, one-on-one, so no one else spoke for them. They shared their heart. They let me see into their lives, hopes, aspirations and what's trending. I saw for myself and obtained first hand account of their struggles in a secularized society. I saw the pressure they go through in the post-secular era. I listened to their voices and made a qualitative sense of their lived experience. I did so as part of my Calling to learning and teaching and my passion for 'People, Potential and Purpose' with a special age-long commitment to young people."
"The outcome has been a life-changing experience in my ongoing Life & Truth interaction with young people. So, I have toiled to bring you sweet fruits. They are good to go for your transformation and critical for continuous breakthroughs all the days of your life. This is what Life 'N' Truth for Young Adults is all about."
